About the client
VĮ Turto bankas is a Lithuanian state company established in 1996. The company maintains the state-owned real estate, and recovers debts owed to the state. Up to 2011, the company operated as PLC, then was reconstructed into a state enterprise, and in 2014 was merged with the State Property Fund.
Currently, VĮ Turto bankas centrally manages administrative state-owned real estate. This means it manages, operates, and disposes of state-owned real estate, organizes auctions and other tenders for redundant state-owned real estate sales, implements the strategy for the state-owned real estate, and performs many other functions.
VĮ Turto bankas also operates a state-owned administrative building located in Jovarų St. 3, Kaunas, with an area of 1933 m2. The modernization of the building is aimed toward energy savings and more efficient energy consumption.
INFES work
During the reconstruction, INFES undertook several improvements, including the installation of a new granite mosaic plaster, renovation of the roof cover, and replacement of windows and shopfronts. Simultaneously, the company restored essential accent details and interior wall finishing systems. Oak parquet floors in the rooms were refurbished, and new conditioning and ventilation systems were installed. INFES also renovated all exterior and interior engineering networks and added a daycare room for children.
The territory underwent significant changes as well: an old fountain was restored, and over 3,000 m2 of new asphalt pavements were laid. The old architecture was updated with the installation of new tracks, modern fencing, and the creation of green zones adorned with decorative trees. Additionally, INFES installed charging stations for electric cars and scooters.
Results
Upon project completion, the old building underwent a transformation into a modern and contemporary space. The implemented changes also resulted in a significant improvement in the building’s energy efficiency class. It is estimated that energy consumption will decrease by more than 60% as a result.
