About the client
Established in 1989 by Gintaras Rinkevičius, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra grew together with Lithuanian independence. The musicians’ group, known as the Youth Symphony Orchestra, held their first concert at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre on January 30 of the same year. Three years later, the orchestra was renamed the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra.
During its first decade, the Orchestra lacked a dedicated space. However, in 1999 it acquired the Vilnius Congress Palace, and, after extensive construction, established its headquarters there.
