Completion deadline Q4, 2024
Client Administration of Vilnius City Municipality

About the client

Mykolas Biržiška Gymnasium was established in 1985 in Vilnius as the secondary school No. 57 and granted the status of a gymnasium in 1997. This educational institution strives to provide good conditions for the personality development of pupils, to educate honest, cultured, and creative citizens of Lithuania, who will be able to apply their knowledge in a changing society.

INFES work

Reconstruction works of Mykolas Biržiška Gymnasium sports facilities are being carried out. They include a football pitch with artificial heated surface, adequate lighting, benches for substitute players – at least 14 seats for each team and a rain cover. Also, a plastic-coated metal net with ball catchers behind the goals. There will be 200 seats in the spectator stands, a new fence surrounding the grounds, and a security camera system.

Two basketball courts and one multi-purpose court are planned. The multi-purpose basketball courts will be easily transformable and suitable for various activities such as badminton or tennis. The sports courts will be equipped with lighting, benches, and waste bins.

Depending on the development of the site, an optimal, low-maintenance ancillary building is also being designed for servicing the sports facilities and visitors.

Results

After the completion of the planned works, the Mykolas Biržiška Gymnasium will have a tidy and comfortable sports building with courts suitable for safe play.

The reconstructed sports space will allow gymnasium pupils and guests to play sports more safely, engage in physical education, and organize games and competitions in various sports.
