Klaipėda City Municipality Administration has been based in western Lithuania since 1995. Its administrative boundaries match those of the city and include parts of the coastal area. More than 150,000 people live in the city. Since 2017, the city has been divided into 55 neighborhood districts.
The Outpatient Clinic at 76 Taikos Avenue in Klaipėda has been operating since 1979. However, its outdated infrastructure no longer meets the needs of Klaipėda residents or the growing patient numbers. The decision was therefore made to carry out a major renovation of the building to create a modern, comfortable environment for patients and visitors. In addition, a parking lot is planned next to the building for patients’ convenience.
Infes work
As part of the major renovation, Infes will redesign the interior spaces to create a more comfortable environment for both clinic staff and visitors. To improve the building’s energy efficiency, Infes will reinforce and insulate the existing structures and renovate the façades and roof.
Particular attention will be paid to installing new engineering systems, including HVAC, water supply, electrical and communications systems, fire safety systems, and other building services.
The renovated Clinic will feature spaces specifically designed to meet the needs of primary and secondary healthcare professionals. The reception area and digital queue management systems will also be modernized.
As part of the renovation, the Clinic’s total floor area will expand to 11,592.88 m².
The surrounding site will also be upgraded to better meet the needs of the Clinic’s staff and patients. The plans include a 120-space parking lot with access roads, pedestrian paths, and other site infrastructure, as well as the installation of the necessary utility networks.
Results
Once the Clinic has been modernized, residents and visitors to Klaipėda will be able to access healthcare services in a welcoming, comfortable environment adapted to modern needs. The increased floor area and redesigned layout will enable the facility to provide a wider range of healthcare services, improve staff efficiency, and ensure smoother service for patients.
Upon completion, the healthcare facility at 76 Taikos Avenue will also integrate seamlessly into the cityscape, becoming a natural and valued part of everyday life in Klaipėda.
