Project value ~ 33.6M
Completion deadline Q4, 2027
Client “Vilniaus vystymo kompanija” UAB

About the client

“Vilniaus vystymo kompanija” UAB is a company owned by the Vilnius City Municipality, specializing in the design and construction of public educational, preschool, social service, and sports facilities, among other projects, for the past few decades. The company also organizes auctions, rents out and sells real estate, and collaborates with non-governmental and nonprofit organizations. Currently, “Vilniaus vystymo kompanija” UAB manages approximately 90 projects valued at €800M.

Located at Žirmūnų St. 1H, Vilnius, next to Tuskulėnai Manor and the Memorial Complex for Victims of the Soviet Occupation, the newly constructed indoor track and field arena will be the latest addition to the portfolio of modern facilities managed by “Vilniaus vystymo kompanija” UAB. The building will enhance the city’s contemporary landscape and become an integral part of the country’s sports infrastructure.

Infes work

Infes is responsible for the facility’s construction and the work project’s preparation. Spanning 11,000 sq. m, the building will have three stories. The 200-meter track and field arena will be integrated into the main functional zones of the facility.

The facility will include zones for athletes where they will be able to train and participate in competitions. Additional spaces for sports-related services will also be incorporated into the building.

The building and the surrounding outdoor area are expected to blend harmoniously with the district’s landscape, complementing nearby architectural structures and nature.

Results

Upon completion, the facility will provide Vilnius with another essential sports venue, seamlessly blending with the surrounding urban infrastructure. The arena is expected to support professional athletes in achieving high results while fostering a new generation’s interest in track and field sports. The modern building will accommodate 400 athletes and around 600 people during competitions, further promoting a healthy lifestyle and sports culture both within the city and across the country.
