Infes work
Infes is building a commercial building — the IKI shopping center — covering the area of 2,354.51 sq. m., with a parking lot. The center will be located next to a residential district, a kindergarten, and a heavily trafficked regional road. Therefore, worksite organization, noise and dust reduction, and traffic safety assurance are given special attention. For example, noise-intensive equipment is installed in remote, covered facilities to ensure the comfort of nearby residents.
In consideration of the residents’ feedback and wishes for the new shopping center to blend harmoniously with the surrounding architecture, the facade will differ from the familiar IKI style. In addition to a change in color, a secondary facade will be installed, made of specially decorated fiber-cement boards. The site will also feature a covered platform for the unloading of goods and a separate underground shelter.
The shopping center will be located within the regional road protection zone. Therefore, there are stricter-than-usual requirements governing the location of the building and other structures on the land parcel, visibility, the number and intensity of entries, and other aspects.
Results
Once the project is completed, the Noreikiškės community will have a new shopping destination — a modern IKI shop that meets the contemporary needs and habits of visitors. The facade finishes and overall architecture of the shopping center will match the surrounding residential district. At the same time, the building’s technological layout will ensure the efficient delivery of goods, convenient access for shoppers, and maximum comfort for residents. The project’s implementation will expand local infrastructure and enhance the district’s attractiveness to residents.
