Completion deadline Q2, 2026
Client Public Enterprise Klaipėda University

About the client

Established in 1991, Klaipėda University is one of Western Lithuania’s leading academic and research centers. The university offers a range of humanities and science studies as well as research programs, and its modern infrastructure is designed to meet the needs of a contemporary campus. Active involvement in development projects enables the University to improve the living and working conditions for both students and faculty.

One of these projects is the construction of a new A++ rated energy-efficient dormitory on the Klaipėda University campus, which will expand the existing complex of residential buildings. The project aligns with the University’s strategic goals of improving student and faculty living conditions and fostering a modern academic environment.

Infes work

Infes is developing a modern residential building covering almost 4,000 square meters and featuring a functional layout, sustainable engineering solutions, and comfortable common areas.

The building will house 141 residential rooms, including 12 family rooms for the faculty. The first floor will have administrative offices, technical rooms, and a gym to promote physical activity among students. The upper floors are designed to have interconnected double rooms with shared sanitary facilities, kitchens, and recreational zones. The dormitory will accommodate 194 students and 24 professors.

A 69 kW solar power system installed on the roof will help conserve energy and support the University’s sustainability goals. The overall project design is consistent with the existing Klaipėda University dormitories and urban architecture, ensuring a contemporary and cohesive look.

Results

Upon completion of the project, Klaipėda University will have an energy-efficient dormitory that will raise the accommodation standards for students and faculty, strengthen the University’s infrastructure, and boost the campus’s overall appeal. The project will support sustainable development goals and contribute to the welfare of the academic community.
